LOS ANGELES – October 28, 2009 - CompuLaw LLC, publisher of calendar/docket matter management software with built-in court rules databases, recently announced their rule set statistics for January through September 2009: 288 rules updates (3,022 separate updates to rules) and 87 new jurisdictions across the United States within Massachusetts, Florida, West Virginia, Ohio, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Arizona, Tennessee, North Carolina, Nevada, Texas, Michigan, District of Columbia, Georgia and California.

According to the most recent 250 Survey from The National Law Journal, more of the nation’s largest law firms use CompuLaw Vision™ than any other rules-based legal calendaring/docketing software. CompuLaw’s court rules-based technologies are also used by 72% of AmLaw 100 firms and 82% of the top 50 law firms in California.

“CompuLaw is expanding our court rules coverage to more and more specific jurisdictions, and we offer rule databases for all 50 states, including State, Federal, Appellate, Supreme Court, Bankruptcy, Intellectual Property and more,” said David J. Kalmick, president and CEO of CompuLaw. “Our technology is designed to minimize the risk of calculation errors and missed deadlines, and help law firms protect themselves from costly malpractice claims.  In fact, many leading malpractice insurance carriers even provide discounts or other financial considerations to law firms that use CompuLaw technologies.”

During 2008, CompuLaw released 346 separate rules updates (rule sets updated 3,690 times in total) as well as 91 new rule sets for numerous jurisdictions across the United States. For the complete list of CompuLaw rules databases, visit www.compulaw.com.
